Release Edition
v2026.4.1-beta.1

The lobster has expanded its toolbox. Whether you prefer search engines, cloud guardrails, or per-job tool diets.

OpenClaw 2026.4.1-beta.1 · April 1, 2026

Background tasks now live directly in your chat session. The new `/tasks` command surfaces task details and agent-local fallbacks without breaking conversation flow. Session routing has also matured, with provider-specific conversation grammar now handled at the plugin level, keeping Telegram topic routing and Feishu scoped inheritance intact across restarts and tool-policy changes.

The provider ecosystem grows with a bundled SearXNG web search plugin and Amazon Bedrock Guardrails support for content filtering. Agents gain global default parameters via `agents.defaults.params`, while failover logic now caps same-provider retries on rate-limit failures before attempting cross-provider fallback, with a configurable cooldown knob for fine-tuning.

Platform-specific quality-of-life improvements land across the board: macOS Voice Wake triggers Talk Mode hands-free, Feishu Drive comments support in-thread replies and thread context resolution, WhatsApp agents gain reaction-level guidance, and Telegram administrators can now suppress repeated delivery errors with configurable policy controls. Cron jobs also inherit per-job tool allowlists for tighter access control.
